It’s been a while since Mike T. Schmitt has released an internet section and this one most certainly makes up for it. Mikes Signature TURF Peg the “Night Stick” is a 4.75 inch long aluminum peg with a replaceable plastic sleeve. Head over to TURF Bikes for more info and pick up a set while supplies last. Without further ado, we’re proud to present “Who Is Mike Schmitt”. Sit back, relax and enjoy 4 minutes of non stop grinds.
TURF recently started “Fast Fifteen”, a new series highlighting riders from the Mob in a convenient 15 second format. The first one features Anthony Combs at a single spot at an undisclosed location in the East Bay. It’s been a while since we’ve seen any clips of Anthony lately, but his riding is looking as solid as ever.
Last weekend Ian Walker came out to ride around the city with us and stack clips for an upcoming film project we’ve been working on. Ian is one of the few dudes remained true to his roots and still rides 700c/29″ wheels. It’s riders like Ian & JBall that help prove the fact that FGFS will always consist of multiple wheel sizes.
With the Fixed Gear Freestyle scene continuing to grow here in San Francisco, we’ve been playing host for more and more people coming to the Bay Area to ride & kick it. Michael Penrose is the latest addition to our household and has been in town for nearly a week now. Here’s a couple photos from the first spot of our fist day exploring the streets of SF. For those who are curious, Michael is on a Bombtrack Dash. Keep your eyes peeled for more photos of Michael’s stay in the next couple weeks.
After flying over 8,337 km from Japan to San Francisco, Tadashi Nakamura spent two weeks riding and hanging out w/ us here in the Bay Area. We filmed for two days while he was on vacation and. from that, we were able to put together this video of his stay in the States. Filmed on January 17/18 2015.
On the weekdays the Financial District is a complete bust. It’s packed full of people traffic, and guards who watch the security cameras religiously. But on the weekends it clears out and opens up some of the most well protected parts of the city. Here are some photos of Ed “Wonka” Laforte & I roaming around the neighborhood earlier last week. Check out more photos from this day below.
As we gear up to release the video from Tadashi Nakamura’s stay in San Francsico. I figured now was the time to release some of the remaining photos I took on his last day in town. We did some sight seeing as we explored some of the iconic parts of the city that I knew we hadn’t ventured into yet. We ate lunch in a small garden off the freeway and rode along the shore following whatever road would bring us closer to The Bay. Keep your eyes peeled for Tadashi’s video later this week.
